Job overview

The Personal Support Specialist (PSS) role is an in-person, part-time position based in Holden, ME, serving clients in their homes or residential settings. Compensation is $17–$20 per hour. MaineTouch provides non-medical personal care and support to help adults and seniors maintain safety, independence, and stability. The specialist assists clients with daily living, mobility, household tasks, meals, errands, and companionship according to each client’s authorized plan of care. The role also includes documenting services, reporting changes or safety concerns, and following infection-control, confidentiality, and emergency procedures.

What you'll do

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene
• support mobility and transfers
• perform care-related light household tasks
• assist with meal preparation, shopping, and errands as outlined in the care plan
• provide companionship
• observe and report changes or safety concerns
• follow service plans
• complete documentation
• follow infection-control and safety guidelines
• maintain confidentiality
• respond appropriately to emergencies
• attend required training.
