Cardiac Sonographer - PRN. This is a PRN, onsite position in Ladysmith, WI. Compensation is not specified. Sanford Health is the largest rural health system in the United States. The purpose of this role is to perform echocardiography tests and procedures in accordance with American Society of Echocardiography standards, producing and recording images of the heart for diagnostic purposes.

What you'll do

• Perform echocardiography tests/procedures according to American Society of Echocardiography standards.
• Prepare patients for exams by explaining procedures, transferring them to the ultrasound table, applying gel, and positioning them properly.
• Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the heart.
• Provide a preliminary summary of technical findings to the interpreting physician.
• Understand ultrasound machine operation and utilize new sonographic technologies.
• Perform routine cardiac ultrasound procedures.
• Interact professionally with healthcare professionals.
• Assist with IAC accreditation submission/maintenance.
• Supervise or train students and cardiac sonographers as needed.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies.

What we're looking for

Education

Accredited two-year Cardiac Ultrasound Program OR bachelor's degree and one year equivalent work experience

Experience

Accredited two-year Cardiac Ultrasound Program OR bachelor's degree and one year equivalent work experience (depending on state). Credentialed with ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI, or registry eligible within 18 months of hire (depending on state). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
