The Forward Deployed Engineering Leader role is onsite in Los Angeles, CA. The stated compensation range is $180,000–$220,000 per year. First Resonance builds ION Factory OS, software for manufacturers of advanced hardware such as rockets, satellites, electric aircraft, clean energy systems, robotics, and autonomous vehicles. The leader builds and develops the forward deployed engineering team, owns the deployment portfolio, sets technical and delivery standards, and serves as an escalation point for strategic customer work. The role connects customer deployments to product improvements, adoption, and commercial outcomes by turning field learning into reusable software capabilities and scalable team practices.

What you'll do

• Hire, onboard, coach, and retain engineers
• set expectations and provide feedback
• prioritize staffing, capacity, milestones, and risk across customer engagements
• establish standards for discovery, architecture, implementation, testing, go-live, documentation, production support, and reviews
• lead escalations for strategic deployments, integrations, incidents, and tradeoffs
• partner with Sales and Customer Success on discovery, scoping, expansion, and account planning
• work with Product and Engineering to productize repeatable solutions and improve tooling and automation.
