Responsibilities include checking parts, assembling components, operating filling machines, and performing final inspections.

What you'll do

• Works from blueprints to determine proper assembly, filling, and packaging requirements.
• Assembles Red Line, PAIU Submarine, and other extinguishers.
• Tests pressure and fills shells with dry chemical.
• Pin stamps, cleans, packages, and palletizes finished product.
• Checks to see that all parts are available for assembly.
• Assembles component parts to extinguishers using hand tools.
• Visually checks components for completeness.
• Assembles extinguishers to pressurize shells and leak test.
• Operates semi-automatic dry chemical filling machine.
• Weights filled extinguishers and assures proper weight.
• Stamps packages with lot number, part number, and other applicable stamps.
• Checks packages and places extinguishers on a pallet.
• Operates overhead hoist for handling large extinguishers.
• Performs final inspection on product.
• Touches up any shell with paint.
• Supports training and development of peers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
