What you'll do

• Inspect and prepare metal surfaces on ambulance components
• sand, grind, and smooth imperfections
• operate hand and power sanding tools and grinders
• remove rust and weld spatter
• apply primers or sealers as required
• collaborate with painters, buffers, assemblers, and quality control
• maintain a clean and organized work area
• move, stage, and organize components
• document and communicate progress and issues
• support continuous improvement in surface preparation.
