Furnace Operator – First Shift

The Furnace Operator works onsite in Waukesha, WI, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Compensation is $20–$34 per hour. ThermTech provides heat-treating services for customer parts. The operator processes parts according to work orders and customer requirements, monitors furnace controls, and performs quality checks. The role helps ensure parts meet specified processing and quality standards and supports safe, organized production operations.

What you'll do

• Read production schedules and work orders
• record operation times
• adjust furnace controls using instruments and gauges
• test parts for hardness
• verify customer requirements and document nonconformities
• organize tooling
• perform hardness and dimensional checks
• enter part data and quality concerns in Bluestreak
• notify maintenance staff about equipment issues
• package parts
• instruct new workers
• maintain furnace equipment as needed.
