What you'll do

• Meet the police officer qualifications and maintain required certifications, including Washington State Peace Officer Certification, firearms qualification, first aid, CPR, and a Washington driver’s license.
• Academy-certified applicants must have completed accepted basic law enforcement training, have been employed as a full-time sworn officer within the prior 24 months, and not qualify for lateral entry.
• Officers may be required to work holidays.
