The Preschool Teacher Assistant — Afternoon role is onsite in New Haven, CT, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:00 to 5:30 PM (17.5 hours per week). Compensation is $18–$21 per hour, based on education and experience. Leila Day is a nonprofit, play-based, nature-centered school that emphasizes outdoor learning and children’s development. The assistant supports lead teachers in creating a developmentally appropriate classroom and implementing learning experiences responsive to children’s interests. The role contributes to children’s learning, safety, social-emotional development, and daily routines while collaborating with families and the teaching team.

• Support lead teachers with classroom activities and emergent curriculum
