The Senior Civil Engineer/Project Manager — Aviation role is onsite in Sterling, VA. The salary range is $125,000–$170,000 per year. Alpha Corporation is seeking a leader to support its aviation practice, primarily on projects for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority and other airport clients. The role combines technical civil engineering leadership with project management to deliver airport and transportation infrastructure from planning through construction. It also supports client relationships, business development, quality assurance, and mentoring as Alpha grows its aviation practice.

What you'll do

• Manage airport and aviation infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction
• serve as a client and stakeholder contact
• manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk
• lead multidisciplinary teams
• oversee site civil design, grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities, roadway and airfield support infrastructure
• review calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and estimates
• ensure applicable regulatory compliance
• support proposals and client development
• mentor staff and conduct quality reviews.

Why this role

Requires a Professional Engineer (PE) license, a civil engineering bachelor’s degree, and 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience. AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation proficiency required.
