Compliance Auditor

The Compliance Auditor role is onsite in Charleston, SC. Compensation is not specified. The auditor supports MUSC’s Compliance Program and reports to the Regulatory Audit Manager. The role evaluates whether services comply with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Through research, record review, data analysis, interviews, reporting, and stakeholder education, the auditor helps identify issues and recommend corrective action when warranted.

What you'll do

• Plan and conduct audits of high-risk services, workplan areas, ad hoc requests, and for-cause coding and billing concerns
• research regulations and industry practices
• hold pre- and post-audit meetings
• review records, analyze data, and interview staff and stakeholders
• prepare audit reports and corrective action plans when warranted
• provide stakeholder education and training as needed.
