The CDL Class A Local Driver — Second Shift role is onsite in Elk Grove Village, IL. The full-time schedule is Monday–Friday, starting at 3:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m., with typical shifts of 9–10 hours; drivers are home every night and do not work weekends. Pay is $28 per hour. JA Frate serves the Chicagoland area with transportation and logistics services. The driver safely completes local freight pickups and deliveries, helping keep customer shipments moving while providing reliable service. The role includes operating a tractor-trailer or commercial vehicle, handling freight as needed, completing inspections and records, and communicating with dispatch, customers, and teammates.

What you'll do

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer or commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT regulations
• complete local pickups and deliveries
• load, unload, and secure freight as needed
• perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records

Why this role

At least two years of CDL Class A driving experience required. Home every night; no weekends. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are preferred and must be obtained within three months of hire. First-week training is at the Crystal Lake home-base terminal, with paid mileage.
