Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant, Client Transportation

Job overview

The Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant role is onsite in Haughton and Benton, LA, with compensation of $10.50 per hour plus mileage reimbursement when applicable. The schedule may include afternoons, weekdays, and weekends, and full-time or part-time hours. The role provides in-home support to seniors and individuals with disabilities. The caregiver assists clients with personal care, companionship, household tasks, and appointments, while monitoring well-being and documenting services. Using a personal vehicle to transport clients helps them reach appointments, errands, and scheduled activities safely.

What you'll do

• Provide bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting support
• offer companionship and emotional support
• assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and feeding as needed
• provide medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments
• monitor and report changes in health and well-being
• maintain a safe client environment
• document care
• travel to assigned homes
• transport clients using a personal vehicle and assist with safe vehicle transfers
• complete required in-service training.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current vehicle registration and insurance, and successful pre-employment screenings. Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred. Shifts may range from 4–12 hours.
