The Structural Field Inspector — Asset Management, Atlantic Region role is field-based, with a listing location of Pittsburgh, PA and regular travel to client facilities across the Atlantic Region. Travel may include overnight stays and reach 75%. Compensation is $25–$40 per hour. The inspector supports Orbital Engineering’s asset integrity and asset management programs at client facilities. The inspector documents the condition of industrial structures and collects defensible field data to support risk-based decisions. Safe, consistent inspections and clear reporting help clients track asset condition and plan management actions.

What you'll do

• Inspect existing industrial structures, including steel, reinforced concrete, foundations, platforms, conveyors, bins, silos, and stacks
• follow company procedures, industry standards, and client requirements
• identify, photograph, and document deficiencies, damage, deterioration, and safety concerns
• promptly communicate critical findings
• follow company, client, OSHA, MSHA, and site safety requirements
• collect field notes, photographs, measurements, and supporting documentation
• assist with inspection reports
• maintain asset records and coordinate field activities with project managers, inspectors, and client contacts
• support junior inspectors as needed.
