Outpatient Neurologist

The Outpatient Neurologist role is an onsite position in Phoenix, AZ. Compensation is negotiable, with no numeric amount specified. The physician will join a well-established multispecialty group. The neurologist evaluates patients and develops treatment plans for nervous-system conditions, performs credentialed outpatient procedures, coordinates referrals and care, documents visits, educates patients and families, and consults with nursing clinicians and nurse practitioners.

What you'll do

• Assess pediatric, adolescent, or adult patients through health histories, examinations, and diagnostic tests
• develop and implement treatment plans for nervous-system illnesses or injuries
• perform credentialed outpatient procedures, including dementia screening, EEG or video EEG, VNG, and EMG
• arrange referrals and diagnostic or inpatient care
• document patient and visit information in the electronic health record
• counsel and educate patients and families
• consult with nurse clinicians and nurse practitioners.
