Housing Navigator

Job overview

The Housing Navigator role is onsite in San Diego, CA; compensation is not specified. Equitable Social Solutions works with partners to support individuals and families and address chronic homelessness and poverty. The navigator assesses client needs, manages a revolving caseload, and helps people experiencing homelessness access immediate shelter and move toward stable housing. The role coordinates referrals, supportive services, and community relationships to help clients overcome barriers and work toward self-sufficiency.

What you'll do

• Interview clients and assess needs
• help clients access immediate shelter and housing
• manage referrals and a revolving caseload
• develop action and stabilization plans
• refer clients to specialized services
• document counseling, referrals, expenditures, and service issuances
• coordinate with agencies, employers, property owners, and service providers
• conduct outreach and education with property owners
• travel throughout the county.
