Development Manager

The Development Manager role is hybrid in Stamford, CT, with three days onsite and two days remote. Compensation is described as competitive and commensurate with experience; no numeric salary is specified. Building One Community supports the successful integration of immigrants and their families through free education, employment, empowerment, and community-engagement services. Reporting to the Director of Development and External Relations, the manager supports fundraising strategy through donor cultivation and stewardship, development operations, campaigns, and Board engagement. The work helps strengthen supporter relationships and advance the organization’s programs and mission.

What you'll do

• Manage donor and prospect records and track cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up
• develop donor acknowledgment and stewardship strategies
• support donor acquisition, retention, and giving upgrades
• conduct prospect research and prepare briefings and solicitation materials
• maintain donor database and gift records
• process and acknowledge gifts and coordinate deposits and reconciliation with Finance
• generate fundraising reports
• support annual appeals, campaigns, and events
• maintain the Development calendar
• serve as staff liaison to the Board, Board Alumni Group, and assigned committees
• coordinate mission-driven donor communications.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of nonprofit fundraising experience. DonorPerfect experience is strongly preferred; experience with Constant Contact, Bloomerang, and iWave is preferred.
