This role operates CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images for diagnosis and treatment, administers contrast materials, and positions patients. The technologist works independently to perform all CT procedures on patients of all ages, ensuring high-quality images and patient care.

What you'll do

• Operates CT scanners to produce cross-section images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.
• Accurately interprets a physician’s scanning instructions, administers contrast materials, prepares and operates the CT scan equipment, and positions the patient to capture the appropriate images.
• Performs superior/quality diagnostic images under the guidance of a Radiologist on all ages.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic diagnostic radiological environment based on practice standards, radiation safety guidelines that include monitoring.
• Participates in departmental Performance Improvement activities.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology

Experience

Graduate of 24-month AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology - Certified by ARRT. ARRT(RT)(CT) REQUIRED and CE compliance & Current BLS certification required. 1 year diagnostic experience required. CT experience preferred. Solid to expert knowledge of all CT procedures.
