Patient Support Associate (Part Time)

The Patient Support Associate role is onsite at Ashley’s Inpatient Campus in Havre de Grace, MD. Pay is $19 per hour. Ashley Addiction Treatment’s mission is to transform and save lives by integrating medicine, therapy, and spirituality. The associate supports patients’ participation, orientation, safety, and daily campus experience while communicating relevant behavioral and psychiatric information to care teams. The role also assists with groups, interventions, and patient transportation as needed.

What you'll do

• Track attendance and patient participation
• learn patient schedules and campus layout
• conduct scheduled campus rounds
• document lateness and absences
• search new patient luggage using protocols and PPE
• follow the Items to be Held policy and document confiscated items
• provide tours and orientation
• answer questions about the Patient Handbook
• address behavioral issues and document concerns in shift reports
• communicate relevant information to care teams
• facilitate and document clinical groups and interventions as needed
• assist with AV equipment and documentation
• participate in clinical training, safety procedures, and emergency drills
• transport patients by golf cart
• participate in interdisciplinary team functions and ongoing education.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license with clean driving record, and CPR/BLS certification. Behavioral health or substance-use-disorder experience is strongly preferred.
