The Therapeutic Recreation Music Therapist (TRD) role is onsite in Bridgeport, CT, with pay of $25.50–$29.33 per hour. This per-diem position reports to the Coordinator of Therapeutic Recreation and supports residents and patients through therapeutic recreation activities. The therapist organizes group activities and one-to-one sessions to support sensory motor, cognitive, and psychosocial skills. The role also documents resident progress, contributes to care planning, and helps ensure safe participation in activities and outings.

What you'll do

• Organize and conduct group activities and one-to-one sessions
• complete assessments, progress notes, attendance documentation, and discharge summaries
• enter MDS and care plan data and attend RCP meetings
• transport residents to activities and prepare activity areas
• maintain supplies
• participate in staff meetings and outings
• mentor residents and music therapy interns
• maintain required credentials.
