The Assistant Vice President, Business Strategy and Planning role is onsite in Bethesda, MD, with a starting salary range of $185,000–$250,000 per year, depending on relevant experience, skills, and credentials; the role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. It serves as a strategic partner to the President of the Life & Health Division of The Union Labor Life Insurance Company, part of Ullico, a labor-owned insurance and investment company. The role supports annual planning, strategic initiatives, and divisional decision-making through research, analysis, and executive materials. It works across underwriting, operations, account management, sales, and supplemental lines to identify opportunities, coordinate priorities, and translate business and market information into recommendations.

What you'll do

• Support annual business planning, goal setting, and progress tracking
• research market, competitive, and regulatory developments in medical stop loss and life insurance in the Taft-Hartley/multiemployer space
• lead special projects and strategic initiatives assigned by the President
• identify process, growth, and efficiency opportunities and recommend actions
• prepare presentations, board and trustee decks, rating-agency materials, and analytical packages
• develop executive, trustee, and broker briefing materials
• partner with operations, underwriting, and account management leaders.
