What you'll do

• Load outgoing trucks
• pick orders using a forklift
• unload carrier trucks and railroad cars
• replenish warehouse stock
• report shortages and damaged materials
• coordinate order changes with sales
• use handheld scanners and warehouse management system processes
• band, wrap, and prepare materials for shipping
• arrange truck loads using safe weight distribution
• inspect forklifts
• perform routine warehouse and yard cleaning
• fill orders for incoming customers
• cross-train and back up warehouse colleagues.

Why this role

The training schedule progresses from 7:30 a.m. during the first two months to noon–8 p.m. during months two and three; after training, the shift is 4 p.m.–midnight, with the last truck loaded.
