Medication Technician — 7 PM–7 AM

What you'll do

• Complete assignments from the Administrator or Resident Care Coordinator
• direct and assign work to patient care assistants
• prepare resident transfer forms and incident reports
• ensure staff coverage and breaks
• counsel staff and document policy violations
• enforce facility rules and resident rights
• administer medications and perform narcotic counts
• supervise approved self-administration
• report and document significant resident changes
• seek treatment or emergency services when needed
• coordinate medication availability with care leadership and the pharmacy
• properly dispose of discontinued or refused medications and document disposal
• maintain certification and annual continuing education.
