What you'll do

• Verify and record financial data
• execute and calculate financial transactions
• operate accounting software
• check figures, postings, and documents
• maintain journals, ledgers, spreadsheets, and databases
• enter invoices and purchase orders and prepare accounts-payable checks
• cross-train on payroll processing
• process new-employee paperwork and payroll-system entries
• administer and explain employee benefit programs
• maintain accounting and HR files
• prepare payroll reports.
