The Donation Services Coordinator I role is onsite in Cleveland, OH. Compensation is not specified. Lifebanc coordinates organ, eye, and tissue donation and transplantation in Northeast Ohio. The role exists to facilitate tissue and eye donation referrals and coordinate information among hospitals, coroners, processors, and recovery staff. Accurate screening, documentation, and communication help move eligible cases through the donation process in accordance with applicable standards.

What you'll do

• Identify and evaluate potential organ, tissue, and eye donation referrals
• collect and interpret medical and social history
• enter referral information into iTransplant
• triage referral calls and contact appropriate Lifebanc staff
• review medical charts against processor criteria
• access hospital electronic medical records confidentially
• obtain coroner or medical examiner releases
• communicate case activity to the Administrator on Call
• provide reports to DSC II and DSC III before family approach
• coordinate with funeral homes and coroner/medical examiner offices
• respond to audits and quality inquiries.
