The Maui Bus Lead Mechanic Technician role is onsite in Kahului, HI, with a listed pay rate of $38.53. Robert’s Hawaii Tours & Transportation’s Maui Bus Division relies on safe, reliable, and efficient vehicles to support public service delivery. The lead technician performs and oversees maintenance and repairs for buses, vans, and support vehicles. The role coordinates shop workflow, mentors mechanics, and maintains vehicle readiness and maintenance standards for the fleet.

What you'll do

• Diagnose and correct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic vehicle issues
• train, coach, and supervise technicians
• schedule and assign repairs and preventive maintenance
• ensure work meets DOT, manufacturer, and company standards
• create daily work orders
• repair and inspect diesel and gas vehicles, including buses with wheelchair lifts and air conditioning
• maintain tools, parts, and supplies
• promote a safe and organized shop
• collaborate with operations and safety teams on road calls, breakdowns, and special service needs.
