The Senior Undersea Robotics Electrical Engineer role is onsite in Woburn, MA. The full-time salary range is $139,000–$170,000 per year. The role supports STR’s Subsea and Seabed Systems Group, which develops undersea sensor, signal-processing, and vehicle systems for intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and counter-ISR missions. The engineer designs and develops electrical systems for uncrewed undersea vehicles, sensors, and command-and-control systems. The work spans circuit and board design, integration, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation, in collaboration with mechanical, software, and systems engineers.

What you'll do

• Design, implement, and document analog and digital circuitry
• develop PCB schematics, layouts, and fabrication packages
• bring up and test boards and electronic modules
• integrate sensors with processors and control systems
• define hardware-software interfaces with embedded software engineers
• collaborate on packaging, environmental protection, and thermal management
• support lab, pool, and at-sea testing
• contribute to system requirements and electrical architectures
• maintain design records, test reports, and configuration documentation.
