Job overview

The CalAIM Housing Navigator role is onsite in Fresno, CA, with compensation of $20 per hour. The role supports Fresno Rescue Mission’s outreach ministry and housing services. The navigator helps participants locate, secure, and retain affordable permanent housing by assessing needs, coordinating individualized support, connecting people with housing and financial resources, and advocating with landlords and community partners.

What you'll do

• Conduct tenant screening and housing assessments
• develop individualized housing support plans
• search for housing and present options
• assist with applications and required documentation
• provide guidance, resources, and referrals
• engage and educate landlords
• assist with benefits advocacy and SSI applications
• identify rental subsidies and resources for deposits, moving costs, and other expenses
• advocate with landlords
• support moves
• establish housing-retention contacts and crisis plans.
