Heavy Civil Pipelayer

Job overview

The Heavy Civil Pipelayer role is onsite at project locations, with the first assignment in Sevierville, TN; the position requires travel to various project sites. Pay is $25–$28 per hour, with approximately 40–60 hours per week and overtime paid. Timberline Construction Group’s Civil Division supports heavy civil and underground utility projects. The pipelayer installs and repairs underground water, sewer, and other utility piping according to plans and specifications. Accurate line and grade, safe trench work, and coordination with the crew help keep field construction progressing safely and to project requirements.

What you'll do

• Install and repair underground water, sewer, and other utility piping
• set pipe to required line and grade using a pipe laser and field measurements
• prepare pipe bedding, install fittings and connections, and assist with backfill
• identify existing utilities and work carefully around them
• read plans and coordinate daily work with the superintendent, equipment operators, and crew
• assist with trench preparation, inspections, testing, and repairs
• follow site safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.
