The Pharmacist in Charge – Compounding Pharmacy role is onsite in Knoxville, TN; compensation is $160,000–$180,000 per year. The position is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity at a 503A compounding pharmacy. The pharmacist provides hands-on leadership for pharmacy operations, staff, and compounding workflows. The role safeguards medication quality and patient safety by overseeing dispensing, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory, and pharmacy records, while partnering with the Director of Pharmacy on operational improvements.

What you'll do

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, workflow, staffing, scheduling, and productivity
• lead and develop pharmacy staff
• ensure safe prescription, compounding, dispensing, and verification processes
• maintain compliance with regulations, USP standards, and SOPs
• oversee 503A compounding, inventory, documentation, inspections, audits, and corrective actions
• partner with the Director of Pharmacy on improvements.
