The Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic role is an onsite, full-time position in Driggs, ID. Compensation is $33–$50 per hour. RAD Curbside maintains equipment used for trash collection, recycling, and waste hauling. This mechanic maintains and repairs the company’s trucks, trailers, and waste-hauling equipment so the fleet is safe, reliable, and ready for collection routes. The work includes preventive maintenance, diagnostics, shop and field repairs, and maintenance records; backup driving and on-call participation may also be required.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• complete overhauls and repairs on collection trucks, roll-off trucks, semi tractors, trailers, and waste-hauling equipment
• use fleet maintenance software to record repairs and schedule maintenance
• assist with field and emergency repairs
• maintain inspection records and support DOT and safety compliance. The role may include backup driving, route support, and on-call rotation.
