The Teacher’s Aide works onsite in Granby, CT. Pay is $16.94 per hour. The role supports the YMCA of Greater Hartford’s School Age Child Care (SACC) department and its work with children and families. Under the Head Teacher’s direction, the aide helps prepare and deliver daily activities and participates directly in children’s activities and play. The role contributes to a safe, inclusive, and positive program experience while communicating concerns and maintaining program materials.

What you'll do

• Assist the Head Teacher with daily activity preparation and delivery
• participate with children during activities and play
• clean and maintain toys and materials
• promptly communicate concerns to a supervisor
• maintain confidentiality
• report suspected child abuse immediately
• attend required training
• build professional relationships with parents, children, host agencies, and staff.

Why this role
