Computer Network Architect in Laurel, MD. This is an onsite, full-time position with a salary range of $116,350.00 - $210,325.00 per year. Leidos is a technology leader serving government and commercial customers. Leidos is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our elite team supporting mission-critical national security programs. In this role, you’ll work at the forefront of cybersecurity, network engineering, and advanced analytics—helping defend and enable some of the nation’s most vital operations.

What you'll do

• Leading advanced network troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Analyzing and optimizing network performance, latency, and throughput
• Designing and implementing scalable, secure network architectures
• Working with technologies such as: Routing protocols & BGP, Policy-based routing & traffic shaping, IPSec tunneling & NAT, Firewalls, load balancing, and WAN optimization
• Evaluating and integrating emerging networking technologies
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-driven solutions
• Mentoring junior engineers (Levels 0–2) and ensuring engineering excellence

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree)

Experience

12–15 years of network engineering experience (or equivalent expertise). Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or 5 additional years of experience in lieu of degree). Strong experience in network design, optimization, and security.
