The Y Club Youth Development Leader role is onsite in Leavenworth, KS, with starting pay of $15.50 per hour, increasing based on experience and education. The schedule is weekday mornings before school and/or afternoons after school until 6:00 PM. The role supports the YMCA of Greater Kansas City’s Y Club before- and after-school program. The leader supervises an assigned group of elementary-aged children and provides activities, games, sports, and homework help. Maintaining safety, guiding behavior respectfully, and building relationships with families and school staff support children’s learning and development.

What you'll do

• Supervise an assigned group and maintain awareness of each child’s location
• plan and lead activities, games, sports, crafts, and homework help
• teach and enforce safety rules and respond to emergencies
• guide behavior respectfully
• verify authorized adults at pickup
• build relationships with children, families, school staff, and YMCA teammates
• follow program policies and keep spaces organized.
