Vice President of Leasing

Job overview

The Vice President of Leasing role is hybrid in Chicago, IL, with an expected base salary of $175,000–$200,000 per year, plus variable compensation including commission and bonus. DLC owns, operates, and manages open-air retail shopping centers. The role develops and executes leasing strategy across an assigned property portfolio, using market data to guide pricing and lease structures. It leads internal leasing representatives and outside brokers, negotiates lease terms, and coordinates with legal, property management, and other teams to support leasing activity and property plans.

What you'll do

• Develop and execute leasing strategy for assigned properties
• analyze market trends and leasing data
• build relationships with tenants, brokers, and internal teams
• negotiate letters of intent and lease terms
• partner with Legal on lease drafting and execution
• review leasing proposals
• direct leasing representatives and brokers
• conduct property visits and market tours
• manage property-level leasing budgets
• participate in acquisition, renewal, and joint-venture calls
• coordinate with Property Management and internal departments.
