The Visitor Experience Coordinator — Festival Operations is an onsite role in Charleston, SC. Compensation is $700 per week. The coordinator organizes staffing and preparation across festival venues so patrons encounter welcoming, well-supported front-of-house operations. The role recruits, trains, schedules, and coaches seasonal House Managers and volunteer ushers, while helping venues remain ready for performances and events.

What you'll do

• Coordinate recruitment and training for seasonal House Managers and more than 250 volunteer ushers
• build and manage schedules across venues and performances
• cover call-ins and last-minute changes
• work House Manager and front-of-house shifts when needed
• help train Box Office and Visitor Experience staff
• ensure venues are staffed and guest-ready before doors open
• receive and verify will-call materials, equipment, and supplies
• work at festival pop-ups
• maintain volunteer records and manuals
• coach House Managers and ushers
• close out the season with thank-you letters, updated manuals, and lessons learned.
