What you'll do

• Perform diagnostics and complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability repairs
• inspect vehicles for maintenance needs and safety issues
• complete work to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards
• explain diagnoses and repair recommendations to service advisors and estimate completion times
• document work in the repair order system
• follow safety protocols and maintain an organized work area
• use manufacturer diagnostic tools
• participate in training and certification
• mentor less experienced technicians as needed
• test-drive vehicles to confirm repairs.
