This role provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients with a variety of medical conditions, including malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, and nutrition support recommendations, ensuring patient care aligns with hospital standards and values.

What you'll do

• Consults with physicians and allied health professionals regarding patients' nutritional statuses and needs.
• Formulates nutrition assessment and follow-up plans for patients at nutrition risk.
• Recommends and documents nutrition treatment findings and plans.
• Participates in clinical rounds and department meetings.
• Consults in/outpatients on diet rationale for self-management.
• Must be flexible to cross-cover and train in all areas, including Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics.
• Provides staff relief and cross-coverage.
• Reviews literature and presents to peers.
• Performs professional presentations.
• Attends meetings to enhance clinical practice.
• Maintains credentials and licensure.
• Holds professional organization membership.
• Participates in licensing surveys.
• Assumes other appropriate duties.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition Science and completion of an accredited dietetic internship. Master's degree required if completed after Jan 1, 2024.
