The Toolmaker / Moldmaker role is onsite in Milwaukee, WI; compensation is not specified. The position works with the lead mold maker to build and maintain production tooling. The role exists to create new tooling from CAD plans and detailed prints and keep existing molds and production tooling functional. It also supports production quality and safe, organized tool-room operations through maintenance, troubleshooting, and collaboration with technicians and apprentices.

What you'll do

• Build new tooling and components with minimal supervision
• evaluate, maintain, and repair molds and production tooling
• identify and communicate tooling problems
• work with lead mold makers and train mold maintenance technicians and apprentices
• operate tool-room equipment
• perform mold maintenance and in-press mold changes
• work with QA on quality concerns
• maintain a clean and safe work area
• wear safety shoes during scheduled work hours
• work overtime based on production needs.

Why this role

Three years of plastic injection molding building experience or successful apprenticeship completion required; journeyman Tool & Die Maker certification or degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required; own precision tools required; forklift experience preferred; lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds.
