Specimen Collector – Male Observed Collections

Job overview

The Specimen Collector role is onsite in Muskegon, MI, with pay of $18–$21 per hour. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with one shift per week from 10 a.m.–7 p.m.; the practice determines the longer day a month in advance. Male candidates are required for observed collections of gender-identified male patients. Millennium Health is a specialty laboratory supporting clinical decision-making through medication monitoring and drug testing services. The role exists to collect and process patient specimens while providing care and customer service to patients, clinicians, and the laboratory. Accurate records, secure handling, and coordination between clinics and the laboratory support reliable testing services.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and/or oral-fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• serve as an intermediary between practices and the laboratory
• record patient, physician-order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns in the ordering portal
• maintain onsite supplies
• observe collections when applicable
• drive between facilities when required.
