The Direct Support Professional, Residential role is onsite in Hamlin, NY, and is part-time at 28 hours per week. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m.–9 p.m.; Sunday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.; and Monday, 7 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Starting pay is $21.55 per hour. The role is part of Lifetime Assistance’s Residential Services department, which supports independence, dignity, and respect for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The professional provides daily living support and helps individuals build independence and participate in their communities. The role contributes to individualized support plans by providing personal care, documenting progress, promoting safety, and communicating with individuals, families, and colleagues.
What you'll do
- Assist with personal care and activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks
- support independence, self-help, and social skills
- promote health and safety, including medication administration if certified
- implement and document individualized service plans and daily supports
- encourage community and recreational participation
- drive agency vehicles as needed
- communicate with individuals, families, and colleagues
- and complete required training and development.
