Job overview

Cook is a part-time, onsite role in Paxton, IL. Compensation is $16–$18 per hour. The cook prepares and serves meals for residents and their families at Accolade Healthcare of Paxton Senior Living. The role prepares meals according to recipes and resident diet orders, supports dining service operations, and helps ensure food is handled and served safely. When managers are not present, the cook may be responsible for dining services staff.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals and food items according to recipes and diet orders
• serve meals in appropriate dining rooms
• present food attractively
• follow diet spreadsheets and resident dietary orders
• set up dining areas
• complete required paperwork
• maintain food safety and sanitation
• clean and close the kitchen
• report equipment repair needs and supply shortages
• report unusual resident requests or behavior to the nurse in charge
• attend required dietary in-services.
