The Emergency Veterinary Assistant (Relief) role is onsite in Redmond, WA, with pay of $20–$49 per hour. Veterinary Emergency Group operates emergency veterinary hospitals and focuses on helping people and pets when they need urgent care. The assistant supports emergency patient care from intake through treatment, working alongside veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians. The role contributes to timely clinical care and continuity by assisting with diagnostics, treatments, monitoring, and patient rounds while learning through guided training.

What you'll do

• Welcome and triage incoming patients
• assist with treatments, nursing care, and diagnostics including bloodwork and imaging
• support anesthesia and sedation cases
• set up and manage IV fluids, transfusions, and medication administration
• assist with inpatient and outpatient care
• participate in patient rounds. CPR and RECOVER certification training is provided
• advanced duties may be developed through guided training.
