The Heavy Equipment Operator – Excavator and Front-End Loader role is an onsite position serving Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Santa Fe, and surrounding New Mexico project locations. Pay is $17–$33 per hour. The operator works alongside PlumbX plumbing crews on underground water, sewer, and utility installations. The role supports commercial construction and underground utility projects by safely excavating, grading, backfilling, and moving materials. Accurate work around existing utilities and coordination with field crews help installations meet required depths, elevations, and safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Safely operate excavators and front-end loaders
• excavate trenches for water, sewer, and underground plumbing systems
• perform grading, backfilling, and site preparation
• excavate to required depths and elevations
• work safely around existing underground utilities
• move dirt and construction materials
• assist with utility and plumbing installations
• inspect equipment daily and report problems or unsafe conditions
• communicate with plumbers, laborers, foremen, and ground personnel.
