Self-Contained Special Education Teacher

The Self-Contained Special Education Teacher role is onsite in Surprise, AZ, with compensation of $45–$52 per hour. Pediatric Developmental Services provides teachers and pediatric therapists to schools and communities, supporting children’s development and learning. The teacher develops and carries out Individualized Education Plans, prepares lesson plans, tracks student progress, and works with families, school staff, and on-site therapists. The role supports students’ educational progress in a safe, productive classroom.

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans

• participate in scheduled IEP meetings
• use individualized reinforcement techniques
• invite family participation
• prepare quarterly progress reports
• consult on behavioral issues with on-site therapists
• maintain a safe, productive classroom.
