Commercial HVAC/R Service Manager

The Commercial HVAC/R Service Manager role is onsite in Columbia, MO. The base salary is $95,000–$105,000 per year. The manager reports to the Regional Director of Operations and leads Field Supervisors and Service Technicians. This hands-on leadership role oversees area service operations, supporting technicians in the field while managing administrative and operational work. It contributes to customer satisfaction and service-level performance through technical guidance, team development, safe work practices, scheduling coordination, and performance oversight.

What you'll do

• Visit job sites and work alongside technicians
• conduct field observations and ride-alongs
• provide technical guidance on troubleshooting HVAC/R systems
• coach and develop Field Supervisors and Technicians
• reinforce safety and quality standards
• assist with escalated customer concerns
• oversee team performance and communication
• participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training
• coordinate scheduling and workload distribution
• monitor service-level agreements, response times, work-order completion, and productivity
• maintain reports and documentation
• oversee parts, tools, equipment, safety supplies, and vehicles
• support inventory, purchasing coordination, and resource planning
• partner with the Regional Director on performance and improvement plans.
