The Surveyor role is based onsite in Boise, ID, with the opportunity to work up to 40% remotely. Pay is $44.74–$53.89 per hour. The position supports Idaho Power’s Corporate Services & Communications team and work serving communities across Idaho and Oregon with safe, reliable, affordable energy. The role exists to provide land surveying and related research, mapping, and documentation for utility projects. It contributes by advising multidisciplinary teams on land rights and project layouts and by producing survey information needed for permits and project work.

What you'll do

• Provide land surveying using traditional instruments, GPS technologies, and scanners
• research boundary evidence
• draw easement exhibits and write legal descriptions
• collect survey data for permits
• evaluate written, field, and oral evidence on complex survey matters
• advise project teams on land rights and project layouts
• prepare and manage survey contracting requests.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in geomatics, land surveying, or civil engineering, or equivalent training and experience; four years of survey-related experience or equivalent; Idaho Professional Land Surveyor license, two years surveying electric utility projects, or equivalent experience. Occasional travel and work outside normal hours may be required.
