The Precision Metal Fabrication Trainee role is onsite in Sterling, VA, with pay of $18–$20 per hour. Pro-Type Metal Machining offers structured learning and hands-on responsibilities in its manufacturing shop. The trainee learns fabrication work while supporting production safely and accurately. The role contributes to shop output by operating equipment under guidance, assisting welding stations, checking parts, and helping stage materials and completed orders.

What you'll do

• Perform general manufacturing tasks and operate shop equipment safely
• support MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux-Cored welding stations and basic grinding
• read work instructions and learn to interpret engineering drawings
• measure, mark, and verify parts
• assist with receiving materials and staging shipments
• maintain a clean, organized work area
• document work using basic computer tools.
