What you'll do

• Assess patients and therapy needs
• collaborate with healthcare team members in care planning
• verify orders and administer aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, oxygen, and medical gas therapy
• manage ventilators and airways
• perform arterial blood gas sampling and analysis
• educate patients
• mentor or precept new employees, students, and peers
• promote accurate documentation and patient safety.
