The Engine Mechanic / Air Conditioning Service Technician role is onsite in Nashville, TN, with a typical Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $18–$25 per hour. The technician travels to customer residences in a company-provided work truck to service home standby generators. Generator Supercenter provides generator repairs, maintenance, and installations as part of its energy solutions business. The role inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains generators and automatic transfer switches, while communicating with customers and documenting completed work. It contributes to reliable backup power and customer service by applying mechanical and electrical knowledge and following technical and safety procedures.
What you'll do
- Travel to customer residences in a company vehicle
- communicate with customers about arrival, work, and resolved issues
- inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain home generators
- follow technical manuals, diagrams, blueprints, and procedures
- test, troubleshoot, and operate automatic transfer switches
- document services in the electronic software system
