Recreation Assistant — Site Leader

The Recreation Assistant — Site Leader position is onsite in Ogden, UT, and is part-time. Pay is $15 per hour. The role is in Ogden City’s Public Services Department, Recreation Division, supporting recreation programs and community activities. The site leader helps run recreation activities and events by supervising sites, supporting games, and assisting participants and the public. The role also helps maintain safe facilities and responds to on-site questions, incidents, and changing conditions.

What you'll do

• Duties may include keeping score, supervising sites, officiating games, working in concessions, cashiering, engaging with community members, and explaining sports rules to youth and parents
• enforce rules and policies
• help ensure participant and facility safety
• answer public inquiries
• perform general field and ground maintenance and assist with field or court setup
• handle on-site situations such as protests, official no-shows, rule questions, weather, emergencies, and incidents.
